TRACK and FIELD EVENTS, BOCCE BALL

Practice will start on Monday, 4/9/07.

We will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30PM-7:00PM.

Practice will be on the track at Steele Middle School. Located at 1150 Amity Ave., Muskegon, 2 blocks North of Apple Ave and 2 ½ blocks East of Getty St.

Be sure to wear clothing for the day’s weather since April is an “unsure weather month”. Wear tennis shoes. Bring a water bottle.

During the season we will practice and have various track meets, including participation with Special Olympics competition.

Meet schedules will be distributed at practice.

Track allows for individual competition based on individual skills and also age groups. Ages 8-15 and ages 16-24. Bocce ball and relay races allows for small teams. We will be competing in the Special Olympic Regional competition held at Calvin College scheduled for May 5, 2007. More details as we get them.

If a practice is canceled due to bad weather, we will leave a message on this same phone line by 4:00PM. You will need to call this number to check on practices.

• Individual/team sport for boys and girls age 8-19 with intellectual disabilities regardless of the level or degree of that child’s disability
